Raja, whose male name is Sutan Amrull, fought till the finish, winning the title of America's Next Drag Superstar, at Providence Nightclub, on West 57th Street, on April 25. Just a few lucky reporters (wink) got to be up close and personal with not only the top three Racers—Manila Luzon, Raja, and Alexis Mateo, but also with a bevy of fellow contestants. It was sponsored by ABSOLUT and its perfectly perfected cocktail, Wild Tea, was in evidence throughout the night, from the start of the finals to the big finish bash held afterwards.

Perez Hilton allegedly leaked, via "sources," that Raja would sweep the runway, winning the top title. Sure Raja has had all the makings of a stand-out winner, but I bet that most are not aware of the 15-year friendship between RuPaul and Raja. It’s speculation, to be sure, but since April 29 just happens to be the date of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, and I'm feeling quite royal, I’m just wondering: could Raja (gulp) have been RuPaul's lady-in-waiting?
