Philadelphia QFest Gives Chad Allen Artistic Achievement Award at Opening Night "Hollywood, je t'aime" Premiere Showing

QFest (www.phillycinema.org), Philadelphia's gay and lesbian film festival, gave openly gay actor Chad Allen, as an accomplished performer, activist and role model, its Artistic Achievement Award at the opening night and East Coast premiere screening of Jason Bushman's recent film "Hollywood, je t'aime," on July 9 at the Prince Music Theater.
QFest's Matthew Ray and Thom Cardwell recently announced a couple of other special events that will take place during this 15th annual festival.
Figure skater Johnny Weir will attend the July 11 screening of the documentary about him, "Pop Star on Ice," and answer questions following the film. The show begins at 12:15 p.m. at the Ritz East, Theater One.
A surprise debut screening of Q. Allan Brocka's "Eating Out 3: All You Can Eat" is scheduled for July 19 at 7 p.m. at Prince Music Theater. The film stars Rebekah Kochan ("Eating Out 1 & 2," "Homewrecker"), Mink Stole (John Waters' "Pink Flamingos," "Female Troubles," "Hairspray"), Leslie Jordan ("Will and Grace"), and openly gay actors Daniel Skelton, Chris Salvatore, Michael Walker, John C. Stallings, Maximiliano Torandell, and Rick D'Agostino.
