Skater Weir Puts in Appearance at Philadelphia QFest

Openly gay skater Johnny Weir, described by Philadelphia's QFest as "one of the most notable, controversial and beloved figure skaters in the sport today," made an in-person appearance at this 15th annual gay and lesbian film festival, to answer questions, meet fans and sign autographs following a showing of David Barba and James Pellerito's 2008 documentary about him, "Pop Star on Ice," on July 11 at Philadelphia's Ritz East Theater One.
