Imperial Court Holds 23rd Gala Night of 1000 Gowns on 3/21 as Benefit for AIDS & Homeless LGBT Youth

The Imperial Court of New York (ICNY) will hold its 23rd annual starry charity benefit gala, Night of a Thousand Gowns (NOATG) and Silent Auction, in the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis Hotel on March 21 at 6:30 p.m. Worthy beneficiaries will be LIFEbeat/the Music Industry Fights AIDS and MCCNY Homeless Youth Services/Sylvia's Place.
Centerpieces of the evening will be the step downs of reigning monarchs, Their Most Imperial Sovereign Majesties Emperor XVII Rob Hunter de Woofs, the Atlantic Shore Tattoo Titan Emperor of Diplomacy, Generosity and Testosterone, and Empress XXII Charlene Chivoe, the Dixie Darling Empress of Democracy, Dreams and Disco, and the coronation of Tony Monteleone and Anne Tique as Emperor XVII and Empress XXIII. Tony Monteleone had served previously as Emperor XIV, the AAA Diamond Emperor of Allegria, Amore & Abbondanza, with Empress XIX Robin Kradles, and Anne Tique had served previously as Empress XIII, the Golden Gotham Glamazon Empress, with late Emperor Chet.

General admission tickets, for admittance at 10 p.m. for the coronation, are priced at $125.
Entertainment will be provided by Michele Williams, singing "We Break the Dawn," lesbian comic and Broadway star Lea DeLaria, Christopher Sieber of "Shrek, the Musical," cabaret's John DeMarco, Lucas Silveira of the Clicks, Billie Ray Martin, and DJ Chip Duckett. Honorary Chairs for NOATG are Sir Elton John, Patti LuPone, Joan Rivers, Idina Menzel ("Wicked," "Rent"), John Cameron Mitchell ("Hedwig and the Angry Inch), and 'Dame' Robin Strasser( "One Life to Live").
Dress is formal, with evening gowns, preferably in white, or white tie and tails de rigeur.
