On December 6, Dance 208, produced by Joe Fiore at New York City's LGBT Community Center, celebrated "Gay Sex in the '70s." Rollerena, the "Queen of Studio 54," was there. Sexy go-go dancers Kenn and Greg and flag and fan dancers helped evoke the spirit of the late 1970s. Posters of the Village People, Olympic swimmer Mark Spitz, and the Fire Island film "Boys in the Sand" glowed under black light.

Thanks to DJ Ted Snowdon, the disco era lived again.
We heard the music of Gloria Gaynor ("I Will Survive"), ABBA ("Dancing Queen"), Donna Summer ("I Feel Love," "McArthur Park"), Sylvester ("You make me feel mighty real"), Grace Jones ("I Need a Man"), and Barry White ("My first, my last, my everything").
The holiday dance "Twinkle," on December 20 at 9 p.m., with DJ Robbie Leslie, is the next Dance 208, at 208 West 13th Street. Admission is $10 or $6 to Center members.
