On Halloween, Maxson Scott, Mark Nelson, and the men of the Eagle NYC bar presented a sensational, enormously popular costume party, billed as a first annual Satyr Ball, which made for an appreciable show of bare, muscled flesh, and furry haunches on horny creatures galore, in an enchanted forest setting. At one point, party-giver Max told Q News that there was a line four blocks long waiting outside to get in, with the Eagle already filled to more than capacity.
On the first floor, there was dancing for ball patrons and, on the stages, erotic dancing by sexy Torez and other hot performers. DJs Marc Cicero, Chauncey D, and Guy Smith provided the music.

With Election Day imminent, several masqueraders poked fun at such Republican 'icons' as Sarah Palin, accompanied by her moose or caribou, and Joe the Plumber, accompanied by his urinal.
Half of the first octet of Messrs. Fire Island Leather-your correspondents (2001 & 2005, respectively), East Village Stud Jeff Goodman (2004), and Diego Vargas (2007)-were present. As the elaborately feathered Apocalipto, Diego took first prize in the costume contest, sponsored by Sapporo. The silvery boyfriends and Master Bitch, the master of lighting, were other winners.
