DJ Johnny Dynell provided music, the Imperial Court of New York hosted, and a 'HalloQueen Costume Contest,' hosted by porn actor Will Clark, was the centerpiece of the evening. Reigning Emperor XVII Rob Hunter de Woofs and Empress XXII Charlene Chivoe, New York's Fairy Godmother Rollerena, Clover Honey of television show "Under the Pink Carpet," and the Baroness, designer of Elegant, Provocative Latex Fashions, were the celebrity contest judges.
From among contestants 20th century leatherman Rafael, Noel, Highland leatherman Steve, Grace as Esmeralda, furry leatherman Fred, Juicy Lucy, Sol the Phantom Vampire, Kerry White and Tommy Boss, Patrick AKA Velma, and Mark the Gondolier, judges awarded Kerry and Tommy the first prize and chose Rafael as runner-up.

Bears take center stage at the Furball, Joe Fiore Productions' next center dance, on November 8 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., at 208 West 13th Street. Admission is $10 at the door, $8 on line at www.gaycenter.org, or $6 for bear group members with appropriate ID.
