On November 24, the Bucks Motorcycle Club, of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, welcomed hundreds of members of the leather and bear communities to the Raven Resort, in New Hope, for the 34th annual Santa Saturday, the huge charity event held exclusively by the Bucks on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. Beneficiaries this year, according to Bucks MC President Nikk Kriss, were the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging; Family Service Association of Bucks County; AIDS Community Alliance, Harrisburg; and Planned Parenthood of Bucks County's Rainbow Room, a counseling and crisis intervention center for LGBT youth, to which Raven owners Rand and Terrence have given space. |

The centerpiece of the fundraiser was a spirited benefit auction, conducted by seasoned barker Jo Arnone. Attendees bid on such donated items as an autographed Elton John DVD, contributed by the Liberty Gay Rodeo Association; autographed posters of "Tarzan," "Old Acquaintance," and the "Gypsy of the Year" event, from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS; works of art; gift baskets; and articles of leather clothing.

The highlight of this part of Santa Saturday was the auctioning of clothing right off the backs, feet, etc. of hunky 'models' Danny Tamez and Tom Savage. High price tag items were a jockstrap ($225) and cock ring ($250).
The 'Santa Saturday Revue,' coordinated by Gary Christ, who has participated in all 34 events, opened with the title song from "Dreamgirls" and featured Miss Pumpkin cavorting in "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree," as Hannah Montana, and doing "Santa Baby" and, from "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," "Hard Candy Christmas;" Paté' delivering "Let's Get this Party Started," à la Shirley Bassey, and, from "Dreamgirls," "And I Am Telling You I Am Not Going;" Angela, on hand with "Cool Yule;" as well as numbers by Maxine, Vanessa, Karen, Keith Opperman, and Gary himself. Bucks Treasurer Teyd Jamison sang a dynamite "Trolley Song" and a dulcet pairing of "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" and "Over the Rainbow." The Bucks gave awards to Pumpkin, Paté, Gary, and official Santa Saturday photographer Michael Prestia, who hails from Brooklyn, New York.
Furry members of the New Jersey Gay Men's Chorus got up close and personal selling 50-50 raffles to those in attendance and the winner came away with $477.
