Disco is not dead. Not if Randy Jones, the original cowboy of the Village People has anything to say about it.

Full of energy and looking and sounding terrific, Jones, who has recorded a new CD entitled "Ticket to the World," kicked off an international tour, with stops in Europe, Asia and Australia, at a party at Retox, in Chelsea, on January 23.
The Naked Cowboy, a familiar figure in Times Square and at Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and Miss Clover Honey, of Manhattan Cable television's "Under the Pink Carpet," were among those in attendance.
At this official CD release party, Jones evoked a more innocent, exuberant era by singing two cuts from "Ticket to the World," fervent disco anthems "Your Disco Needs You" and "New York City Boy," which he announced as "for all you New York City boys and girls out there."

In honor of the Village People's 30th anniversary, survivor Randy--"And I'm still fucking standing!"--rolled back the years with "YMCA," inspiring the audience anew, of course, to shape the letters in the air with their hands.
"Ticket to the World" is available from
www.CDBaby.com and
www.RandyJonesWorld.com for $17.95, which includes the shipping cost.
